Revising, reviewing and archiving SOPs

Revise an approved SOP, make a minor x.y edit, sign periodic reviews before they fall due, and archive documents without losing their history.

An approved document changes in one of three ways, and every change is kept in its audit trail.

Revising

Choose "Revise" to create the next major version as a draft. The current version stays the effective document until the revision is approved, and the old version is then kept as superseded history. Training tied to the document is assigned again on the new version.

Minor edits

Choose "Minor edit" to fix something small, like a typo or a phone number, and publish the next minor version (for example 3.1 to 3.2) without going through approval. A minor edit needs a reason and an acknowledgement. It is available only for documents authored in Legion Diagnostics with no revision under way, and it does not reassign training. Use a revision for anything that changes how the work is done.

Periodic review

Each approved document has a next review date and review owners. When a review is due, choose "Review", then click "Sign review" and enter your attestation, the outcome and the next review date. To see what is coming up, filter the approved library by review status or next review date.

Archive and restore

Choose "Archive" to retire a document from use. It moves to the "Archived" folder with its full history, and you can restore it if it was archived by mistake.
