Welcome to Legion Diagnostics

Guides to every part of Legion Diagnostics, from validation studies and the test directory to documents, training, quality and the AI assistant.

Legion Diagnostics brings the work of a clinical laboratory together: validating and verifying tests, controlling documents, training and assessing staff, running quality control and quality programs, and keeping each site staffed and stocked. These tutorials explain how each part works and how to get a task done.

Where to start

If you are new, read Finding your way around Legion Diagnostics, then set up your test directory. Most of the rest of the app builds on the lab areas, analyzers and analytes you record there.

What the tutorials cover

The sidebar groups the tutorials by area:

  • Getting started: signing in, finding your way around and setting up your profile
  • Test directory: lab areas, analyzers and analytes, total allowable error, and reading manufacturer claims from package inserts
  • Validation studies: study plans, experiments, uploading data for many analytes at once, and composite reports
  • Statistical modules: precision, method comparison, linearity, reference intervals, detection limits, carryover, interference, coagulation studies and more, including how each study is designed and how to read its results
  • Document control: writing, approving, revising and sharing SOPs, policies and other documents, including drafting an SOP from a validation study
  • Training and competency: training modules, quizzes, assignments, personnel records and analyte competency
  • Quality management: quality control and Westgard rules, quality events and CAPA, inspection readiness, proficiency testing and other recurring quality work
  • Lab operations: inventory and site staffing
  • My queue, organization settings and the AI assistant

Use the search box above the list to find a topic quickly.
