Importing approved SOPs from another document system
Bring your existing approved SOPs and policies into Legion Diagnostics as PDFs, with effective dates and review owners, and revise them later.
Moving from another document control system does not mean re-approving everything. In the approved library, click "Import" to bring existing documents in as PDFs.
Importing
Choose the document type and the categories (folders) the documents belong in, and drop in the PDFs. Then confirm each document's details: its title, effective date, source system (the system it came from) and review owners. Imported documents go straight into the approved library.
The PDF is the record
An imported document is kept exactly as it was approved in your previous system. The PDF is the controlled record and is not edited in the document editor. It has the same review dates, audit trail, categories and public link options as any other approved document.
Revising an imported document
When an imported document needs to change, click "Revise" and choose one of three paths:
- Choose "Re-approve current PDF" to run the existing PDF through your approval workflow again.
- Choose "Upload a replacement PDF" to approve a new PDF prepared elsewhere.
- Choose "Start a new draft" to write the next version in the document editor. The imported PDF stays in the library as the current version until the new draft is approved.
