Proficiency testing: events, grading and review
Enroll analytes in proficiency testing, track each PT event from submission to grade, review the results and act on any failure.
Proficiency testing (PT) is one of the recurring kinds of work in quality cycles. Each enrolled analyte has a schedule of PT events, and each event is tracked from submission to a signed review.
Enrolling analytes
Click "Enroll analytes" to add live analytes to proficiency testing, with who is responsible and when events are due. Assigned people get the work in My Queue.
A PT event
With no event open, click "Create PT event" and record the title, the survey code, who it is assigned to, and its dates: when results are due for submission, when the grade is expected and when the review is due. Update the event as it moves through "Scheduled", "Submitted", "Graded", "Under review" and "Finalized".
Reviewing the graded evaluation
Upload the graded evaluation from your PT provider; AI can summarize it if you choose. In the review, confirm the grade for each sample, mark the event satisfactory or not, and write a summary of the results. From the review you can also:
- add tasks for follow-up work
- create a quality event for a failure, which is typed as a PT failure and linked to the event while you stay on the review
- click "Finalize & Sign" to sign the review, and schedule the next event four or six months out, or on a date you choose
- generate a final report PDF, which is kept in the report history
Open the "History log" tab to see every PT event for the analyte and download it as a PDF.
