Finding your way around Legion Diagnostics
The main areas of the app, from the test directory to quality management, and how the site group and subspecialty controls decide what you see.
The main areas
The sidebar lists the areas of the app, each with its own pages:
- Test directory: your lab areas, analyzers and analytes.
- Validation and verification: study plans and experiments.
- Document control: SOPs, policies and other controlled documents, from draft to approval.
- Training and competency: training modules, personnel records and competency.
- Quality management: inspections, quality cycles, quality events, investigations and quality control.
- Lab operations: inventory and site staffing.
- My queue, plus team tasks for people who oversee others' work.
- Organization settings: your team, access, site groups and subspecialties, report styling and more.
Which pages you see depends on your permissions. To open the assistant from any page, click "AI Assistant" at the bottom of the sidebar.
Site group and subspecialty
Two controls at the bottom of the sidebar set what you are looking at:
- "Site group" picks one CLIA-licensed site. Closed sites are marked as closed.
- "Subspecialty" picks a discipline such as clinical chemistry or hematology. Retired subspecialties are marked as retired and listed last.
You only ever see site groups and subspecialties you belong to. On list pages you can choose all of them at once. On a single record, the controls lock to that record's own site group and subspecialty. Where a control does not apply to a page, it is read-only and says why.
The test directory is organized the same way: site group, then lab area, then analyzer, then analyte.
Your dashboard
Your dashboard welcomes you with suggestions for the AI assistant, such as a tour of the app or a walk-through of a first verification study. On a larger screen, the assistant opens beside it.
