Troubleshooting & Common Issues

No workable design for a level

Possible causes

  • –The critical difference is small compared with the analyte's imprecision
  • –The TEa is smaller than twice the within-lot imprecision
  • –The chosen power needs more than 40 samples

Recommended action

Use the smallest workable critical difference Data Entry offers, or lower the power.

The uploaded file could not be read

Possible causes

  • –Columns differ from the Data Upload Guide
  • –A level in the file is not one of the design's levels
  • –A Current lot or New lot cell is not a number, or the file has summary rows

Recommended action

Lay the file out as the Data Upload Guide shows, or enter the results in Data Entry.

The new lot is not accepted

Possible causes

  • –A real shift between lots
  • –One lot was calibrated long before testing, or with a different calibrator lot
  • –A sample far from the level's target concentration

Recommended action

Review calibration and QC, check the samples against the target concentrations, and repeat the comparison.
